Lucy Laucht welcomed us into her quaint Brooklyn, New York apartment for espresso and a sneak peek into her world. Lucy works with some of fashion’s finest on a daily basis. When she’s not creating online campaigns for brands like Vogue or curating relationships with bloggers, she spends her free time writing her own style blog–Lucy Laucht. This stylish Brit met her handsome boyfriend on the beach in Bali and spent a few years living in his native country of Australia before moving to Brooklyn. Their cozy apartment reflects her travels as well as her down-to-earth personality. Stacks of Australian magazines, postcards from around the world, vintage decanters, and bouquets of fresh wildflowers fill the living room. We can’t get enough of this sweetheart’s style and stories from across the pond.

How would you describe your style?
Living in Australia, London and now New York has influenced my style. I lived in Australia where it was boiling hot all year round and my wardrobe definitely reflected that. For a girl used to dismal English weather, my wardrobe became full of bright colors and dresses. My job now requires me to be quite ‘put together’ so I mix prints, patterns and pops of color (and anything with a sequin on it)!
When did your interest in fashion begin and what made you want to start a style blog?
My mom worked in fashion in London in the 1960s so my interest definitely came from her. Her extensive wardrobe includes vintage pieces from Biba and Liberty, and is regularly raided. I was always inspired by the evolving trend of street style and I found other people’s style blogs interesting. So I decided to start my own, and convinced my boyfriend to take the pictures.
