What do you like about New York style and how does it differ from London?
I do feel that everyone is terribly well put together in New York. There’s none of the avant-garde scruffiness that the London ‘look’ embodies. The average New Yorker’s approach to personal grooming is also on another level. After a couple of meetings at Vogue I learned that a weekly manicure was non negotiable.

What are your favorite designers and where do you usually shop?
Dries Von Noten, Chloe, Stella McCartney and Isabel Marant are some of my favorite designers. However, living in New York on a shoestring means I shop a lot in Beacons Closet, which has a huge selection of second hand designer. I also like J.Crew and Zara and shop online at Topshop and Asos, though sometimes I wish I were shopping at MyWardrobe.com and Net a Porter!
If there were a fire in your apartment you’d save _____________ from your closet.
A silver locket chain, which belonged to my brother – I wear it every day. And my Mulberry bag. Probably my Zara bag too since I’m addicted to it, and maybe my new leopard print Steve Madden shoes. So… perhaps all of it?!
