Christina Holm-Sandok, president and creative director for Style-Architects (a lifestyle services company), believes appearance is an outer reflection of one’s personality and passions. Christina shared with us exactly how she sparkles from the inside-out. From her dog, Zoe, to the flea market purchases decorating her chic home; everything Christina has surrounded herself with is a testament to the glittery life she’s created. If Christina has any advice to give it is: stay true to yourself!

How did you come up with the concept for Style-Architects?
We are a creative lifestyle business that offers branding, event planning, wardrobe styling and concierge services. As a former lifestyle and fashion editor, I got to know many business owners and throngs of sophisticated individuals who were looking to express themselves. I saw a need for a business that could plan a flawless event while generating buzz through creative public relations and high-touch social media. I feel fortunate to have teamed up with an amazing group of creative ladies.
Describe your style.
Feminine, preppy and uncomplicated. I love mixing structured pants/shirts with ethereal blouses and a simple piece of my grandmother’s jewelry or my husband’s watch. I like to pair something a little too sweet and sugary with something more tailored – like a little sequin tank under a classic blazer with distressed skinny jeans. And somehow I have built a ridiculous collection of nautical Breton shirts. There is something so fresh and classic about throwing on a simple striped top with a sequin skirt or layering it under a girly dress.
In a Banana Republic fedora and Milly dress. Minneapolis is known for its beautiful lakes and trails that weave through the city. Christina lives just blocks from them and her dog loves to bike with her!

Christina unwinds on her patio with a cold drink and a fashion magazine. She’s wearing a J.Crew gingham top, Kate Spade skirt, Zara shoes.
Where do you seek inspiration?
I’m always noticing colors, textures and patterns in my surroundings. From art, magazines, architecture, photography, travels and people on the street. I find inspiration everyday!
What is your number one tip you tell anyone seeking style advice?
Invest in what’s real – meaning stay true to yourself. Never feel obligated to follow trends. They are meant as inspiration. If it doesn’t fit your lifestyle or personality move on to something that does. And sometimes the most stylish look can be achieved by simply adding an element of interest to a classic piece. Be creative with fashion, so it’s an expression of who you are – never take it too seriously.
