Entertaining, Anna wears a Haute Hippie blouse, Dahlia Lynn necklace, and Elizabeth & James metallic shorts.
Follow trends closely: do or don’t?
Follow fashion shows to remain educated, but don’t let them control you. It’s important to not get too bogged down with trends, as they can be distracting when trying to form one’s individual style. Take a trend, tweak it, and make it your own. . . if you feel so inclined!
The bar area features a vintage radio that was Anna’s granddaddy’s and an oil painting of her mother as a young girl.
Anna is wearing a chambray button-up from Target, a Midi ballerina skirt from H&M, and earrings from J. Crew.
Is there one designer or brand that tends to dominate your closet?
My closet is a mishmash of vintage, J. Crew, H&M, Patterson J. Kincaid, and Zara. If I could have it my way, I’d live in Elizabeth & James.
What advice would you give to someone seeking to develop her own sense of style?
Invest in the basics first, and then build up. Every woman needs a classic black pump, dark denim, a black pencil skirt, a neutral heel, a black fitted blazer, and some sparkle. Once you have a good foundation, you can begin filling in with pieces that make you happy! Never purchase something you’re not comfortable in. Only buy what you absolutely adore, or else clothing will just gather dust in your closet.
Anna’s mantle showcases gladiolas grown on her family’s flower farm, gold Chanel ballet flats, black + gold studded Jimmy Choo heels, and a black + white photo of her grandparents.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
Bubble baths, reading fashion magazines, time with family, cocktails, old movies, traveling, dinner with friends, going to the lake.

How do you live a sparkly life?
By finding joy in the smallest of things; clean sheets, a cork popping from a bottle of champagne, fresh flowers, a mani / pedi, or a bar of chocolate!
