Sparkly DIY Dinner Table

We’ve partnered with Hey Look to share how you can create a gorgeous and unique table setting for your next at home dinner party! This table is glitter-tastic with a sparkly menu, place cards, napkin rings, and votives.

With this simple technique you can embellish place cards, the dinner menu and all sorts of other goodies (glitter stripes on gift wrapping would be lovely). Simply apply spray glue or double-sided tape to desired object, and sprinkle with glitter. Check out Hey Look’s blog for other inspiring DIY ideas and much more.

Glitter Votive Jars

You need:
- glass jars, vases or simple drinking glasses
- paper glue or spray glue
- double-sided tape

- glitter powder in the color(s) of your choice

Instructions for the glitter votive:
-Apply paper glue or spray glue to jar. You can make shapes or simply apply it all over.
-Sprinkle the jar with a good amount of glitter. Make sure you don’t leave any glue spots uncovered.
-Tap on the glitter particles carefully, then shake off excess glitter and you’re done.

-Place a votive candle in the jar or use it as vase

Instructions for the sparkle-striped votive:
-Stick double sided-tape strip onto jar as shown in the picture. You can use tapes of different widths if you like, and apply several stripes per jar.
-Sprinkle generously with glitter then clean off excess sparkles.

-If you want your stripes to be of different color, place 2nd strip of tape on votive only after cleaning off the glitter from the first stripe. Repeat step 2 and you’re done.

LOVE the glittery menu. So funny but i hosted a dinner party this past weekend and USED the exact same font for my menu- i should have glittered it though. That looks much cuter:

What a great idea!! I love how those votives look so much more special and pretty with the glitter on them! I’m thinking a cluster of 3 would be really pretty for my room too!

I love this tutorial – original, sparkly and doable. But a heads up – it’s been copied down to the last photo at a foreign popular blog here: http://lefrufrublog.blogspot.com/search/label/diy%20idee and it’s in her DIY gallery.
