Hi Glitter Girls! It’s Grace, from Stripes & Sequins, back for a little more DIY. Since my last DIY was somewhat complex, I thought I’d show you a DIY that simplifies things…promise!
Just like everyone else in the blogosphere, I’ve been drooling over the Tory Burch Eddie Bow Flats–major swoon! Being tall (and a bit on the clumsy side,) I live in flats. The thing is, I’d rather invest in classic (non-embellished flats), and then embellish them on my own. That’s where shoe clips come in. I’ll sparkle when I want to, and stick to the classics the rest of the time.
Materials:
- 2 Large Bow Crystal Appliques
- 2 Shoe Clips (I scoured the Internet — the best place I’ve found is this eBay shop.)
- Strong Glue (I recommend E6000)
- Your own ballet flats
This DIY is so easy that it has only one critical step. Open up your shoe clips and apply a dot of glue to the back. Adhere to the bows, press hard, and then let these sit overnight.
Clip them onto a pair of ballet flats, and there you have it — even better than the original!
I clipped mine to a pair of black flats so that you could see the difference. Get creative! Wear them with flats, heels — anything goes!
