“I love adding a little serenity in the bathroom. This is a private space, and I love making it as cozy and relaxing as possible.” Scented candle from La Boutique; Perfume from Jo Malone and Fresh; Thrifted champagne glass used as vase; Painting from Italy; Frame and tray from Ikea.
“This is the little vanity area where I get ready every day. Since I claimed this little corner and am not sharing it with my husband, I get to make it more feminine and pretty!” Sheer button down from J.Crew; Scarf from Madewell; Waxed black pants and ankle boots from Zara; Desk used as vanity table from Crate & Barrel; Mirror – thrifted; Lamp, chair, and weave basket from Ikea.
Has living in San Francisco helped inspire you to lead a glittery lifestyle?
I’ve lived here for over 20 years, and I appreciate this city more and more each year. I’ve never considered SF a metropolitan city before, but it surely is becoming just that. With the different mixes of people, unique shops, renowned restaurants, and amazing events happening all around town, this city has developed a style and taste of its own. Watching the city grow and evolve has certainly inspired me to live a more glittery life!
“This is probably my favorite dress in the closet. I got it two years ago for my wedding. I thought it would be impossible for me to dance in my wedding gown, so I got this lovely glittery dress to change into when the time came to party!” Sequin dress from Haute Hippie.
“I’m a bit of hoarder for pretty trays and dishes. I love collecting them and think it’s the best way to add interest to any boring surface. I decided to showcase it with my favorite baubles and put it on my vanity, which now doubles as my ‘bling’ table!” Necklaces from Kate Spade, Anthropologie, CC Skye, Madewell, and Falling Whistles; Trays & dishes from Camp Cirrus via Indeeyo, Sabon, Coppola Winery, and West Elm.
“A little gift of glitz I got over the holidays from some really sweet people at Poshmark.” Glitter bow handband from Crewcuts.
“Sometimes I wish I could turn this room into my office or a dressing room. But when I see how happy my daughter is in her room, it truly makes my day!”
“I don’t know if there are any mothers out there who can resist buying these mini sparkly Toms. Sadly, my daughter has outgrown them, but I love using them as a decorative accent on her drawer.”
Where can you be found on the weekends?
You can find me strolling the streets in some of SF”s cutest neighborhoods like Noe Valley and Hayes Valley. I also love to brunch, so you can either find me at my favorite brunch spots like Zazie, Eats and La Boulange, or the mom n’ pops breakfast places…they’re always so friendly and welcoming!
“I think it’s important to be a good mom and not lose yourself in the process. Keep up with being who you are, and enjoy doing the things you love. Your little one will appreciate you showing them what life is all about!” Vintage Escada blazer; Striped blouse – thrifted; Jeans from Levis; Black patent heels from BCBG. On baby – Jacket from Baby Gap; Jeggings from H&M.
How do you sparkle?
Aside from wearing my favorite sparkle necklaces and lipstick, I think what makes me sparkle the most is being a loving mom and wife, being nice to people, and giving my best smile!
