“Shoes, shoes, shoes! It was organized, but now it’s kind of overflowing. I do wear them all. Some of my favorites are the ones with the screw and then the ones with a U on them. For when I’m having one of THOSE days.” -Samantha
“I’ve always loved dream catchers so these two big ones were a huge find! I get a tons of use out of this Zara sequin skirt (similar), which makes me happy, and these Margiela booties are super comfortable-so I try to rock them a lot.”-Samantha
How would you each describe your personal style?
Samantha: Like I said, I’m definitely the California girl. I just love clothes that feel right. I know what looks good on me by how I feel in them. I like to have fun with clothes, I’m all about the accessories, and I’m a bag lady. I might have a problem!
Kendall: My style is really eclectic, it changes based on my mood. I’d say it’s a nice mix of New York and Napa, elegant and edgy. I love to take an outfit that would be a bit tomboyish and throw a vintage rhinestone necklace or a sequin element into the mix. Recently I’ve been gravitating towards pieces with lots of texture, and playing around with different combinations of texture. Accessories are a huge part of my look. Often I’ll keep the outfit classic and simple and use accessories as the pop of color. Bright lipstick has become a staple for me as well.
“What can I say, I love bags! These are a few of my favorites. I am dying over that Givenchy teal color for spring.”-Samantha
Can you divulge any beauty secrets? A make-up must-have you couldn’t live without?
Samantha: Laura Geller’s ‘Spackle’ is a must. I am a huge fan of that product. It is the best primer. All ‘By Terry’ products are a must. Nicole from the ‘Finer Skin Institute’ for facials in LA will transform your skin, no joke!
Kendall: Nicole is a miracle worker! She has me mix baking soda into my cleanser a couple times a week as an exfoliant which has been great for my skin. I am currently obsessed with Tom Ford’s new line of makeup. The foundation is silky smooth and covers really well. For lipstick my go to is YSL, they have a great creamy texture and keep my lips moisturized.
“The day my Bon Appetit arrives in the mail is a happy day. I read it religiously and can’t get myself to ever throw them out so stacks are piling up in my tiny room. It’s a problem. “-Kendall (Rag & Bone blazer, Goldsign jeans, Kate Spade shoes.)
“I call my room the curiosity shop. It is filled with treaures I’ve collected over the years. I love to display my jewelry and incorporate it into the decor of my room. In this photo there are some of my favorite postcards as well as some items I got on a cross-country road trip Sam and I did with friends.”-Kendall
“This top I found at the Alameda flea market, one of my favorite places to shop. Sam and I try to get there every month. The shoes are Joe’s Jeans.”-Kendall
“The perks of my mom owning a store with great jewelry! Skull bracelet by Charles Albert, the turquoise bracelet and cherry ring are vintage.”-Kendall
What are your favorite Napa spots to shop, eat, etc?
Samantha: Cook, St. Helena & Press, St Helena.
Kendall: The Oxbow, Napa, Solage for the spa and restaurant, and Findings for jewelry.
“I have a pretty large collection of vintage crystal necklaces, I’m always on the hunt for them. They add a little glitz to an outfit and look great layered with other necklaces.”-Kendall
Where do you seek and find inspiration?
Samantha: Stylelikeu.com & magazines.
Kendall: Traveling, Pinterest and street style.
“Fur, leather, and cheetah print add a little spice to the room. The large print is my stepdad back in the 70s and the polaroids I have taken over the years. I love being surrounded by photos of my friends and family.”-Kendall
