Erin Bunch and Michelle Vick, the girls behind Broke Girl’s Guide, took a break from scouring Los Angeles for low-cost adventures to take us on a shopping tour of Abbot Kinney Boulevard in their town of Venice, CA. Who better to show off the city than girls who make their living writing about it? Erin and Michelle started Broke Girl’s Guide in 2011, after working in the film industry and feeling the pressure of living in an expensive city without a high-paying job. They started the daily email, Broke Girl’s Guide, to help other 20- and 30-something women make the most of living in L.A. The girls are working on expanding their website into other cities, and are planning to launch an ‘everywhere’ edition in the coming months. Erin and Michelle created their own guide for us, taking us to their favorite places to shop, eat, and drool over chic clothing and jewelry.
