Colored jeans are everywhere this spring! If you’re looking for a new spin on everyday denim, then a bright, vibrant color is a fun option. If you’re really feeling bold, we recommend a hot neon hue. We know they can be a bit intimidating to style, so we turned to Los Angeles stylist, Jen Pinkston, to share how to style a pair of neon pink jeans two different ways!
Whether you work in an office or freelance (and are out & about town most days), these jeans are definitely not going to go unnoticed! I wanted to juxtapose the other pieces against the bright, poppy jeans to keep the look professional, so I chose a really chic silver peep-toe Jimmy Choo shoe and a classic boucle J.Crew jacket. The dress code here in LA is pretty relaxed, so I paired the look with a white tee. However, if you feel the need to elevate the look a bit, go for a classic white button-down to take it up a notch. When accessorizing, play up the hardware of the look. For example, this jacket has these amazing gold buttons, so I highlighted them by wearing a simple, chunky gold cocktail ring and my vintage watch that has a gold face.
For the Weekend:
My favorite Saturday ritual is to spend an hour or two cozied up with a book at a local cafe or coffee shop–no computers or emails allowed. This outfit is perfect for that sort of weekend outing. This Maison Scotch shirt is oversized enough that people might mistake it for your boyfriend’s, but with the sleeves rolled to your elbow and shirttails tied up in front, it won’t hide your shape. I cuffed up the jeans a bit to mimic the relaxed feeling of the top and chose my favorite super-comfortable wedges to top it off. Keep the accessories simple for something like this. An arm party is a whole lot of fun, but with a look like this, it can look overly-styled. I wore this one Kendra Scott ring that makes a simple but stylish statement all on it’s own. The result? A high-style look that’s perfect for a relaxing weekend!
