Hi Glitter Girls! Briony here from A Girl, A Style in London.
On the other side of the Atlantic, celebrations to mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee (that’s 60 years on the throne) are in full force and the four day weekend is packed with more street parties, Victoria sponge cakes, tea, bunting and pageantry than is entirely normal.
We can’t resist a chic royal here at Glitter Guide, and love how Her Majesty has been working a pastel skirt suit and pearls for decades. I say, take a leaf out of Queenie’s style book and wear ’50s style pastel lace dresses, diamonds and pearls before breakfast, silk pussybow blouses teamed with candy-coloured cashmere jumpers and capri pants accessorized with a classic handbag, a twinkly brooch, a silk scarf and unshakeably good manners.
