How To: Get Rid Of Under-Eye Dark Circles

Milk. Yes, milk. No we aren’t crazy, we promise. Experts say that the lactic acid in the milk works to reduce puffiness and darkness underneath the eye. Yes, please! To try this out at home, take some cotton balls and soak them in a cup of cold milk for a few seconds. Place the cotton balls underneath the eyes and leave on for a few minutes. (image)

I have always thought that there was something so chic about lying back with a couple of cucumber slices on your eyes – one looks like the picture of a lady of leisure. So I tried it one day after a late night, only to discover that I’m allergic and my eyes swelled shut! That was not the look I was going for. :-)

oh my gosh, that is horrible! Yes – definitely make sure you are not allergic to any of these items before trying them!!

I’ve heard of everything but the milk! Really now? Wow. I’ll have to try that. Although initially, I thought we had to drink the milk… I was gonna say what if you’re lactose intolerant?? But soaking cotton in it makes things easier for everyone ;)

Same here. I have tried everything that is on this list save for the milk. I knew milk was good for the skin, I just never thought of soaking a cotton ball with milk and putting it under my eyes. I have bathed with milk before though. Thanks for the tip, I am definitely trying this one.

Um, I see a pattern here.  Maybe just put something cold on your eyes after you wake up?
