Today Art.com celebrates the launch of its new and dramatic website and “We Are Art” brands campaign! Art.com is the world’s largest online art retailer and has been successfully bringing art to people’s homes for over a decade. The new Art.com is filled with original content featuring art and design inspiration, curated collections by designers and tastemakers, social & sharing features, and great new tools to help people find the art they love for the spaces they love.
Art.com partnered with the award-winning, full-service creative agency Mekanism to bring the new brand to life. The “We Are Art” TV campaign is based on the insight that when you hang a piece of art, its impact isn’t limited to just the space between the frames. Rather, it has the power to fill the room, change the mood, and to affect everyone in its presence. The spot takes people on a 30-second journey through the looking glass, based on five famous works of art. Watch it here.
We were invited to the Art.com summit in San Francisco. We had a blast seeing the exciting changes that Art.com has been working on so passionately. Since we’re always on the lookout for unique art but are never quite sure where to find it, the changes are especially helpful.
We were asked to pick a piece of art that inspired us and we chose the “Prada Marfa” sign by Elmgreen and Dragset. Admittedly, we first fell in love with this piece after seeing it in Lilly Humphry’s home on Gossip Girl, but after learning more of the story behind it we appreciated it even more (read about it here).
We really enjoyed our visit with Art.com and are very excited to explore their site and find more art that speaks to us!
