Her love of style (she is a beauty and fashion PR representative after all) is evident throughout her abode. With its personal touches—we love the dog pictures and innovative use of tree stumps—along with its delightful use of color and texture, Carly’s home is one to admire.

How long have you been doing Public Relations and how did you decide it was what you wanted to do?
I’ve been in PR for almost seven years now. WOW, time flies! When I started in PR I automatically fell in love with it. It’s a lot of fun to work with amazing clients and editors and be involved in promoting such great companies! When you get press for clients and you see and hear their excitement, it’s amazing. So. Much. Fun!
“This is my favorite corner in the house! If I could, I would upholster everything possible in this black and white fabric. The tree stump is a prized possession. My mom lives in the country and I asked her to keep a look out for anyone discarding tree stumps (that sounds weird but it happens). Well, sure enough she found some and now they live with me.”
“I love fresh flowers in the house. These were arrangements I made for a baby shower I hosted—they held up nicely.”
How would you describe your personal style and your home interior style? Do they have similarities?
I love this question, it really makes me take a closer look at both. I see some similarities for sure. I like to keep my personal style feminine with elements of edge and sometimes hints of boho chic. I’m a fan of color in the wardrobe but also have a huge love for neutrals. I’m always on the hunt for anything in the perfect shade of heather gray! As for my interior style I like to say it’s Rustic Luxe. I like to mix elements of contemporary, elegant decor with rustic, no-fuss pieces and little dashes of French country! I think both my personal style and interior style reflect an appreciation for elegance that doesn’t take itself too seriously: an outfit that doesn’t try too hard and a home that invites people to curl up and relax.
