2 Stylish Summer Table Settings

With the beautiful warm weather of summer comes countless weddings and outdoor dinner parties (or so we hope!). With such an abundance of al fresco activities, we though it was the perfect time to share some stylish table setting inspiration. We asked Megan and Emily of Enjoy Events Co. to share two beautiful and easy to recreate table tops along with a few tips on how to get the look yourself! The first table is timelessly glamorous with pops of gold and brilliant blush-colored blooms, while the second table is much more funky yet still has fresh, classic components.

Look 1 // Golden Romance:
Time to impress the family! This look is all about adding a little glamour to a summer dinner with your family and in-laws. First, start with the dinnerware you will use. Keep things simple with hints of gold. From the gold trimmed plates and vintage champagne saucers, sourced via a thrift store, you can easily recreate this look. Adding to the pops of gold, use a nice flatware and serve champagne or a sparkling drink in the same color tone. Even add a fresh petal to your drink to really impress your family. We created a repurposed table runner made out of napkins to add a soft texture to the table. Next, keep the main focus on the flowers by showcasing romantic blooms like astilbe, peonies, lisianthus and spray roses. What Mother doesn’t love beautiful blooms while enjoying a nice dinner? You’re  bound to host a lovely time.

Look 2 // Urban Rustic:
Ready to show your friends a good time? Our second look highlights an urban approach to a simple, rustic dinner party with your friends. You will see we are using the same table, chairs and flatware. This showcases that you can reuse the same items and create an entirely new look. We swapped the soft, textural runner for a rustic denim runner and made napkins to match. The denim adds a pop of color and a more urban style. Starting with your dinnerware, go with a simple ceramic look (via West Elm). Keeping with the natural laid back feel we found hand-woven, natural rattan glasses from the same thrift store as the first look. For a different spin on the flowers we opted to use the same variety to really create a statement (plus it’s super easy). We love protea and the way it looks, so we chose a few different colors and simply placed them in modern clear vases. The key is arranging the vases in different heights to create that wow factor. Your friends are guaranteed to be feeling urban chic after this dinner party.

These are both stunning but I think the first table has to be my favourite. Romantic flowers and vintage champagne saucers get me everytime!
