Now that we’re officially on the threshold of the biggest holiday season of the year, it’s time to let our creativity run wild. • Burlap, chevron, and twine—what’s not to love? This oh-so-simple DIY utensil holder is the finishing touch you’ve been searching for. With a 10-minute project time and no-sew instructions, it’s a “must-add” to your to-do list. (image)

  • Hosting the biggest dinner of the year at your house this month? Set the scene with a tablescape complete with DIY metallic gourds. Gold, bronze, and silver spray paint easily take your harvest from “rustic” to “rich.” (image)

  • Sure, these DIY linen napkins are practical—but trimmed with a season-friendly palette of burgundies, reds, and yellows, they’re just the thing to set the tone for a festive Thanksgiving meal at home. The added bonus? They can be washed and used year after year! (image)

  • That said, this month’s main event isn’t just about sitting around the dinner table. Surely there’ll be plenty of time to simply kick back with friends and family (and maybe even watch a football game or two!). Offer guests a soft place to land with this DIY personalized throw pillow. (image)

  • One thing’s for sure: there’s no shortage of pumpkins this time of year. Use that to your advantage! Give your gourds double the duty by hollowing out the centers for fresh flowers. These make for a charming addition to any dinner table, entryway, or fireplace mantel. (image)

  • Candles are an entertaining no-brainer, but take things up a notch by putting that collection of empty wine bottles to use. Paired with tapered candles and grouped en masse, they certainly make for one striking centerpiece. (image)
