NYFW Fall 2013: Best In Beauty

While the majority of the hype and focus surrounding fashion week is on the clothes — and rightfully so — the makeup and hair are essentially what pull the entire collection together and make the designer’s vision come to life. Often, the trends seen on the runway are easy to mimic at home, and while we can’t all afford a new designer gown, we can all easily afford to try out new makeup and hair trends. We’ve been covering NYFW and backstage beauty for a while, so it’s no surprise that we’re used to dryers blowing hot air in our face, dealing with the overwhelming perfume of hair spray and throngs of media influencers surrounding models and beauty experts before show time (the things we do for fashion!). But we swear, it’s worth it. We went backstage before some A-lister shows to catch up with a bevy of beauty and hair experts to find out what beauty looks will be hot for the fall/winter 2013 season.
