Pop.Clink.Fizz: CHOCOLATE GUINNESS FLOAT

This St. Patrick’s Day try an indulgent alternative to green beer with our lush Chocolate Guinness Float! Don’t be surprised—this drink doesn’t taste quite as sweet as you might think. It includes a healthy pour of Guinness and has a unique quality we’ve come to like. If you have dietary constraints, feel free to substitute a dairy-free ice cream alternative (we float gelato over here!). The higher your ice cream to stout ratio, the sweeter your treat will be. Your friends will be green with envy!

INGREDIENTS

- Chocolate ice cream, frozen yogurt, sorbet or gelato
- Vanilla ice cream, frozen yogurt, sorbet or gelato
- Guinness or other stout
- Heavy cream (whipped)
- Chocolate shavings

INSTRUCTIONS

-Fill each glass with a healthy scoop of chocolate ice cream and top with a smaller scoop of vanilla ice cream.
-Pour in about 1/4 of a can of Guinness (you want the ice cream to outweigh the beer). -Top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings.
-Enjoy with a rich Irish brownie!

Does this really taste good? Icecream and Guinness mixed together?!? It reminds me of the Friends episode where Rachel makes trifle from following two different recipes and Joe is the only one who likes it – he likes all the ingredients separately, so naturally he likes them all mixed together as well!

I usually don’t like Guinness, but this looks and sounds amazing!
