6 Style Bloggers Share Style TIps

We recently asked some of our favorite style bloggers to share their most loved spring & summer trends and offer us a few style tips for trying them out ourselves! From crop tops (way easier to wear than you think!) to warm weather leather, these style setters will show you how to look great this season.

  • Light Denim with Jill of The Good Life For Less
“This spring and summer I plan on swapping out my darker jeans for a lighter washed option. Light washed denim offers a fresh look for the season with the same ease of use and comfort that we all love about denim. I suggest pairing it with pastels like I did here for some time spent dining alfresco and shopping with friends.”

  • Warm Weather Leather with Kimberly of Penny Pincher Fashion
“Stick to light-hued leather for spring — try a white moto jacket over your favorite floral dress, a nude shell with slim trousers or a pale blush pencil skirt like this one. Can’t afford the real thing? There are dozens of budget-friendly faux options with the same look & feel so you can try out the trend before making an investment.”

  • Crop Tops with Sarah of Raving Fashionista
“Wearing crop tops can seem intimidating, but it’s actually pretty simple! Here are a few of my tips…

Limit your exposure.  If you’re showing only a sliver of midsection skin, then show off those shoulders. Daring to bare more abs? Consider throwing on a blazer with shorts.  Avoiding overexposure will keep the look classy with just a hint of sass.

Crop tops cut down on the bulk of fabric you might find when tucking in other tops, providing a sleek and seamless look.

If you’re feeling shy about showing off your midriff, picking a longer style (or higher waisted bottom) allows you to rock the trend without revealing any excess skin. Better yet, throw one over top of a maxi dress for maximum coverage and style.

Play with volume. A fuller skirt or wide-leg bottom feel fresh when paired with a fitted crop top, while a looser fit on top gives a playful vibe to body hugging skirts and pants.

When in doubt, reach for a high waist. Whether in the form of a short, a skirt, or pants, a high waisted bottom and the crop top are a perfect match.”

  • Spring Tweed with Mara of M Loves M
“Tweed isn’t just for cold weather months anymore! Here are a few of my style tips for wearing this trend in the warmer spring and summer months.

    – Pair tweed with lighter textures and colors, like lace or pastels, for a spring look
    – Pair a tweed jacket with a pair of colored jeans for a fresh, office-appropriate look
    – Choose a tweed in a lighter, more neutral color. The styling possibilities will be endless and it will fit right into your spring wardrobe!”

  • Black & White with Nife of Skinny Hipster
“Black & White is very timeless.  When wearing black and white, it should be simple and classic like the colors. There are so many ways of wearing it but doing too much sometimes becomes overwhelming and takes away from the classic colors. Most importantly, keep it simple, keep it fun & make it yours!!!”

  • White Denim with Alison of Chain Strap Purse
“I love swapping out my dark denim for white jeans any chance I get during the spring and summer! Pair them with other whites and neutrals for a fresh, crisp look or use them as a blank canvas to rock bright pops of color. Just make sure to find a pair that fits great and holds its shape! It’s key to making them work for any body type!”
