How To Throw A Vintage-Inspired Cocktail Party

[tps_header]

From the new season of “Mad Men” gracing our TV screens to all the season’s flutter over Luhrmann’s “Gatsby” remake, retro doesn’t seem to be going out of style anytime soon! To our delight, we recently had the opportunity to take a peek into the launch party for Candy Shop Vintage‘s new line of vintage-inspired jewelry (made right here in the USA!). To celebrate her new line, designer Deirdre Zahl teamed up with our Editorial Director Caitlin for a night of cocktails, baubles and all things “oldie but goodie.” Read on for some inspirational pictures from the party—as well as tips for throwing a retro party of your own!

It all starts with an invite! Deirdre recommends keeping it “retro” and opt for printed invites to send to your guests. “Think about using muted colors, whimsical illustrations and retro inspired fonts.” Don’t forget to ask your guests to RSVP + set the dress code!

Invite by Bon Vivant.
