For college students and enthusiastic alums across the country, the beginning of fall is synonymous with the college football season. While we’re all for supporting our favorite teams, we’re not too keen on giving up our stylish outfits! To make getting dressed for the stadium a little easier, we asked four stylish Florida State University alums for their tips on how to look fashionable while still showing off your school spirit.

  • Advice from Lacey of A Lacey Perspective:
You don’t have to be covered head to toe in your school colors to show your team spirit. Simply add a fun bow with your team colors, slip on some jewelry to nod in the direction of your school’s mascot and you are ready to support your team in style.

  • Kristin of Living in Color Print‘s tips:
Football style for me is more than just cutoffs and graphic tees, it’s a chance to make a fashion statement by incorporating your team colors in a creative way! Particularly in the south. It’s always important for me to have comfortable shoes and a small crossbody bag for practicality, but also play up the look with fun accessories like a color corresponding hair bow, custom colored sandals or a monogrammed koozie.

  • Says Cathy, of Poor Little It Girl:
When in doubt, take your favorite wardrobe basics to create a chic game day look. I paired my boyfriend blazer and dark skinnies with a classic white button down and patent heels. Add on some gold jewelry and a cap to represent your school and you’re set with an easy outfit to support your football team!

  • Jennifer of  Belle de Couture advises:
When styling an outfit for your game day, I think it’s important to have fun with your look, but still choose pieces that will be comfortable enough to wear to a football game. Also, you don’t have to don your team’s colors from head to toe. Accessories are a great way to incorporate color without going over the top.

While I love these looks, I wish you would’ve chosen a different team. It’s not practical to wear a blazer or layers until December at best in Florida. Sincerely, Tally Girl

I have been dying for a post like this, because I love football and go to a lot of games, but they are all wearing basically the same thing!
