40's Inspired Fashion Editorial

We’re always on the lookout for new and innovative ways to inspire our own outfits, and we love looking to the styles of the past to influence our own looks. So this fashion editorial, conceived and photographed by Woodnote Photography is right up our alley. We love how the shoot  takes inspiration from such a specific time period and translates that into fashions that any woman can achieve. The results are a striking representation of the beauty that can be achieved when the past meets the present and modern and classic collide.

“We were looking at photos of USO singers on tour in the ’40s and ’50s and were struck by the contrast between their stage personas — pin-curled hair, perfectly made-up faces — and their rough surroundings. What would happen, we wondered, if one of those singers decided to go AWOL and have a little fun in the woods outside of base camp?” -Caroline of Woodnote Photography
