With Thanksgiving fast approaching, we’re starting to plan out our grocery lists, get the guest rooms ready and of course, plan out our Turkey Day outfits. Because Thanksgiving is usually spent in the kitchen, watching football and relaxing by the fire, it’s important to be in comfortable and cozy clothes, while staying chic of course. We’ve rounded up five of our favorite looks that will last all day, from an early morning of watching the Macy’s Parade to late-night drinks by the fire!

  • A simple oversized grey sweater and black skinny pants looks instantly chic when you add a fur ruff, black booties and a designer bag.

  • A classic cable-knit sweater is always a favorite piece to throw on when looking for comfort. Paired with leather leggings, it’s the perfect example of laid-back glamour.

  • On a cold November day, a turtleneck and quilted vest are perfect for laying around the house with the family. Pair with distressed jeans and suede ankle boots, and don’t be afraid to mix patterns like stripes and camo!

  • Stand out at the dinner table by adding a bright coat (like this amazing pink cocoon coat) to everyday favorites, like a denim shirt and black skinny ankle pants.

  • Red is a timeless color for the holiday season, so make a statement in a sweater and trench coat in the bold hue. Red lips, a touch of leopard and comfortable flared jeans will have your Thanksgiving guests gushing over your outfit all day long.

Thanksgiving seems to be a tricky holiday to dress for, so these ideas are great!

I have to contend with my parent’s two golden retrievers, and all the dog hair that ensues…so I usually end up more casual than polished for Thanksgiving. Christmas it more my time to shine, since we don’t usually end up at their house. :-)

That’s not to say I won’t be rocking some glitter polish or anything. Because dog hair can’t ruin that!
