“Holiday Gift giving is always an activity that sneaks up on me. All of a sudden November becomes December and we have three weeks till the big day. To avoid the panicked lets just get a gift card approach, I like to devote one full day to shop locally and then do anything else online. This allows me to enjoy my day out on the town without the pressure of crossing everyone off my list. I decide ahead of time the local boutiques and shops I want to visit, make a list of friends and family, and head out happily. I try to make it a pleasant trip, wear something fun, bring my headphones, grab some nice coffee, meet a friend for lunch and allow myself the option of snagging something small for myself. If I cannot find what I am looking for locally, I love to support other small shops around the country. There are so many boutiques with incredible curators, that offer goods online that it has become almost effortless to find something special and unique.”
