  • Where did being intelligent go, ladies? Let’s write pretty, plait our hair and cook for others? It’s like women’s emancipation never happened. I like these posts – they’re cute – but it’s so frustrating that the ideas presented centre around women looking pretty, eating sweet things and generally wasting their time on new colour combinations. Why not suggest something out of the box – like Krav Maga or a local lecture? Why not suggest something current, or clever, or genuinely mentally/physically stretching?

These weekend suggestions are nice and all, but I feel like, as a reader, I’m being dumbed down. I’d love to see something different on here for once. What ever happened to empowerment? It isn’t going to come from putting donuts on your bar cart and twirling in pink, that’s for sure.

Apologies for any offence caused, but I’m just calling it like I see it.
