The Easy 5-Minute-Face For When You're Running Late

Let’s face it ladies, we all have those mornings when our alarm clock spontaneously decides to not go off. And yes, 99% of the time it’s on a day when we have an important meeting that we planned on looking fabulous for. Well, have no fear because we are sharing our go-to super simple five minute routine that will leave you looking well-rested, gorgeous, and completely on your game even when you’re running late. Take that, faulty alarm clock.

Step One: Tackle greasy roots with Ren Furterer Naturia Dry Shampoo ($24). This step will take you approximately ten seconds (no time for a shower!) and will leave your hair looking refreshed and voluminous. Brush hair and twist it into a low chignon that will look sleek and polished.

Step Two: Even out skin with a lightweight easy-to-use base like the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer Crème Compact ($45). The brand’s cult-classic base will leave you with a flawless finish that looks like second skin. Throw the compact in your bag for touch-ups throughout the day.

Step Three: Whether you’re on the paler side of the skintone spectrum, or rock a naturally bronzed glow all year long, everyone should fake a rosy glow courtesy of a lovely cream blush like this one by Make Up For Ever ($26). The creamy formula makes it look incredibly natural, which is definitely the look we’re going in the daytime. Simply pat this blush onto the apples of your cheeks with fingers or a stippling brush, and blend towards your temples to achieve a gorgeous glow.

Step Four: Five minutes means there is definitely no time for shadow or liner, so a mega-volume mascara will have to do. Apply two coats of the the Rimmel ScandalEyes Retro Glam Mascara ($5.99) to the top and bottom lashes for ultra glam volume.

Step Five: Unless you were born with Cara Delevingne brows, it’s essential to groom them daily. Brush through brows with Benefit’s Gimme Brow ($22) to add color, shape, and keep them in place all day.

Step Six: Apply a sheer gloss like the NYX Butter Gloss in Tiramisu ($4.99). These glosses are sensational; they taste like vanilla, melt into the lips without being sticky, and come in a gorgeous range of colors. Obsessed.
