A Peek In Our Editors Fashion Week Beauty Bag

Our editorial director Caitlin, beauty contributor Kara and editorial intern Carly are all headed to NYC for fashion week! While we admit, this is one of our favorite parts of winter, it’s also a whirlwind of excitement combined with exhaustion. See what they are packing in their beauty bag to combat their tired eyes and dry winter skin!

  • One Love Organics Vitamin B Cleansing Oil: Layers of  makeup easily wash off at the end of a long day with this natural beauty product that leaves your skin soft and supple.

  • Preparation H: This drugstore buy has more uses than you think! We dab a tiny amount under our eyes after our morning shower — it helps constrict blood vessels and aids with relieving puffiness. Be extra careful to not get it too close to your eyes as it’s not intended for this use.

  • Visine: A few drops of Visine will help relieve dry, red eyes due to lack of sleep or late night sessions on the laptop.

  • Falsies: Instantly add drama to your eyes with false eyelashes — we love strip lashes for evening events, and often add individual cluster lashes during the day.

  • Bliss “That’s Incredi-Peel:” Late nights, extra makeup and cold weather can take a toll on your skin. These travel friendly wipes do an excellent job at refreshing skin and are especially handy to use before a big event.

  • Go Smile Whitening Pen: This easy to apply teeth whitener is perfect for travel, and does a great job at giving you pearly whites.

  • Alba Hawaiian Anti-Frizz Serum: A little of this on damp hair before you blow dry is the key to silky smooth and soft hair.

  • Tata Harper’s Resurfacing Mask: We’ve waxed poetic about this product before, but it is especially handy when you want to look your best. Putting it on for at least an hour while we lounge around before getting ready for the night gives us an instant glow.

  • SkinCeuticals AOX Eye Gel: Combat puffy eyes with a few dabs of this light-weight gel formula that works well under concealer.

  • Sara Happ Lip Scrub: There’s nothing worse than flaky lipstick! We swear by this lip scrub to exfoliate our lips and create the perfect base for our favorite shade of lipstick or gloss.

  • Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair: We swear by this night serum year round, but it’s especially great for cool weather when applied under moisturizer

  • Liz Earle Moisturizer: This moisturizer fulfills all our requirements: leaves skin soft and supple, is lightweight and non-oily and never feels thick or greasy.
