Woodnote Photography: Australiana

With spring (and the whole new world of wardrobe options that come with it) just around corner, we’re on the hunt for inspiration to guide this season’s style choices. Woodnote Photography’s shoot — featuring the work of Melbourne designers Desert Designs and Jenny Kee — is just that: fresh, bright and rooted in exquisitely vintage design. Perfectly on trend for spring! We’re looking forward to referencing this edgy urban-meets-Outback spread for months to come!

“Shot in the alleyways of Melbourne, Australia, the inspiration from this shoot came from all things Australiana. Stylist Emily Green pulled pieces from two quintessentially Australian designers, Desert Designs and Jenny Kee, whose lines feature traditional Aboriginal designs and Australian motifs (see if you can spot the boomerangs and koalas in the patterns!) in bright new ways. By pairing Emily’s new jewelry and colorful paintings with the Outback-inspired textiles, we sought to create a nouveau-80s portfoli — colorfully representing a country we hold so dear.” – Caroline Lee
