10 Ah-mazing Liquid Liners For Creating The Perfect Cat Eye
The cat eye was made iconic by Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn and Brigitte Bardot — but by now, many women have begun experimenting with winged liner. Anyone who’s anyone in the beauty world will likely tell you that this timeless look flatters every eye shape. Unfortunately, the cat eye can be a tricky look to master. Unless you’ve got makeup skills like the lovely Lisa Eldridge, it’s going to take practice — and the perfect tool(s)! To ensure minimal eye-watering and smudging, we’ve rounded up 10 of the best liquid liners for creating those stunningly symmetrical wings.

  • Marc Jacobs Marc’er Precision Pen ($30) is a genius liquid liner (would we expect anything less from Marc Jacobs?!). This foolproof product is shaped exactly like your favorite expensive pen — its thin tip and super black pigment make drawing a cat eye seem as simple as writing your name!

  • Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner ($20) is a favorite among celebs, bloggers and makeup artists everywhere. The name does not lie — this easy-to-use liner will last us through a 12-hour work day without smudging! It also comes in an array of gorgeous colors — how perfect is the Periwinkle shade for spring?

  • Tom Ford Eye Defining Liquid Liner Pen ($55) is worth the price tag. This dual-ended liner has a super-fine calligraphy tip on one end and a more classic felt brush on the other. This makes achieving a perfectly precise wing incredibly easy — a great option for ladies who want to rock the cat eye daily.

  • NYX Curve Eyeliner ($15) may have an odd shape, but fear not! The nifty grip-zone allows for beyond simple application.

  • L’Oréal Infallible The Super Slim Liquid Eyeliner ($9) is one of our favorite drugstore buys. The ultra-slim tip and intensely black pigment make this liner an awesome choice for beginners (without breaking the bank!).

  • Lancôme Artliner 24H Bold Color Precision Eyeliner ($30.50) is about as pigmented as it gets! Plus, it comes in a plethora of stunning shades — our favorites are Sapphire and Turquoise. Bold makeup lovers: this one is for you!

  • Eyeko Eye Do Liquid Eyeliner ($19) is our favorite of Eyeko’s two liquid liners. Why this one? Two reasons: Alexa Chung (aka cat eye queen!) created it — and, it works to make lashes appear longer, thicker and stronger in just 15 days!

  • Dior Liquid Eyeliner ($34) has an automatic click-action applicator that dispenses the perfect amount of liner. A flawless wing in seconds — it doesn’t get much better than that!

  • Kat Von D Tattoo Liner ($18) is perfection, which comes as no surprise to those familiar with this lady’s stellar ink skills. And unlike many liners with felt tips, this one will not fray no matter how much you use it!

  • Milani Eye Tech Bold Liquid Liner ($7.49) helps you create a bolder look. The felt tip is thicker but has a very precise point, which makes creating the wing incredibly easy.

  • Shandra Slack

You have to try 100 % Pure’s new liquid eyeliner! Their are amazing reviews on makeupalley about it, plus its high performance, and completely natural!

ah thanks for the reccommendation – sounds like it’s definitely another one to add to the list! xx

I’ve been using Lancome’s Artliner for years now, it’s easy to use and long lasting (never flakes, or fades) while simultaneously being easy to take off at the end of the day. But maybe I’ll shake things up and try one of these suggestions. :)
