Cait Weingartner is a Jack-of-all-trades kind of gal. This digital-strategist-slash-lifestyle-blogger is also a marathon runner, list maker, coffee drinker, dog lover — and she has the sort of impeccable taste Glitter Guide can’t resist. Her blog Pretty & Fun is right up our alley, so we couldn’t wait to get a peek into her “modern eclectic” home (and, of course, meet her pup, Callie!). Her décor reflects her innate sense of style and bubbly personality — read on to see for yourself!

Tell us about your blog and how you started it.
I started Pretty & Fun in 2011 as a creative outlet and a way to put my journalism degree to use while working as a strategist at an advertising agency. I had been an obsessive blog reader and knew that I wanted to be a part of the amazing community that is the blog world, so I sat down and brainstormed my interests while attempting to purchase a domain URL. “Pretty” and “fun” were two words that I felt summed up the things that drew me in — and the blog was born. Three years later Pretty & Fun is a lifestyle blog that covers my interests (from fashion and beauty to DIY and interior design) with glimpses of my life, adventures and experiences thrown into the mix.

I love these home features! Cait’s place is so in line with my taste. Even that Kate Spade coffee mug! I love the look of white walls with art and textiles making the statement.

Thanks so much, Emily! Isn’t that mug the best?! When I first moved into the apartment they had the walls painted the most awful beige shade that I knew wouldn’t work with my style / art – I actually had to get 10 gallons of white paint to start with a clean slate. Appreciate you checking out the feature and for your sweet comment, xo.
Love her style!!! And Cait looks beautiful…but can we talk about that dog for a sec.? #model
Callie is the cutest :)
Where are the sunglasses from?
The sunglasses on top of my jewelry box are a vintage pair.
Absolutely love them! I just got a pair of vintage sunglasses from fabulous franny’s!
Super cute! Great taste, Cait!
Thanks so much, Sarah!
I have to know what that desk is called so I can search it on Overstock! It is just what I have been looking for and it looks amazing in your space!
Hi there! Here’s the desk: http://www.overstock.com/Home-Garden/Altra-Parsons-White-Laptop-Writing-Desk/7338415/product.html?searchidx=0 (Note: quality is NOT the best in full transparency here but it’s a super cost effective version of a classic Parson’s desk – West Elm has a better quality version)
THANK YOUUU!! I know exactly which West Elm piece you are talking about – I used to work at a Pottery Barn Outlet that received West Elm pieces but unfortunately, my budget isn’t cooperating with my dream furniture pieces! Love, LOVE the pictures – amazing space and very inspiring!
Happy to help! I wasn’t ready to invest a lot in a desk since I rent and my next space might not have room for a desk. Needed something that would work well here but not be a huge commitment.
AWESOME home!!!! I love seeing the changes since your last apartment feature :) The black wall is a nice touch!

Thanks, Amanda!
Great apartment! Does anyone know what brand of candle that is in #13?
Hi there! It’s a Paddywax candle: http://bit.ly/PkVH19
I totally agree with you about having a place in Chicago with character and no high rise cookie cutter. I live in an old building that is right next to where my great grandfather lived years ago in Greektown! It’s so cool having history in your home and hood! Glad you found your perfect place to spend your 20’s! And btw LIVE it up with the girly stuff! Before my husband lived with me my bedroom was painted straight-up hot pink!
Loved the inside look in your place. The dark bedroom wall must feel all deep and cozy at night ! Thanks for the peek inside your stylish home!

That’s SO cool, Jill! Love having a family memory like that right by your home. Glad to know the girly girly over the top-ness is the right choice now ;)
