OneHope At-Home Wine-Tasting Party For 1,000 Days

Beautiful warm weather instantly puts us in the mood to entertain — but this summer we’re also making a concerted effort to give back to our extended community! When we heard that OneHope Wine was offering customers the opportunity to host wine-tasting parties to benefit the charity of their choice, we couldn’t wait to open a few bottles, invite our friends over and do some good together.

OneHope has always donated a portion of each purchase to charity, but Hope At Home uniquely allows you and your guests to choose a charity near and dear to your heart — and it will then receive donations from any bottles you purchase! We chose to support the wonderful 1,000 Days charity at our Hope At Home tasting, which works tirelessly to improve nutrition for both mother and child in the 1,000 days between a woman’s pregnancy and her child’s second birthday. Proper nutrition during this crucial period can have a life-altering impact on a baby’s future and help to break the cycle of poverty. Helping to nourish the next generation while enjoying time with friends and loved ones made for a night we’ll never forget.

You can sign up to host your own party here & you can donate to help the 1,000 Days cause here.

  • We set up a bar as the tasting station, but you can also use a dining table or even a coffee table! OneHope sends out a wine expert to your house to pour tastes for your guests and offer insight into each beverage.

  • A galvanized bucket with ice is an easy way to keep the white wines chilled.

  • We created name tags for our guests’ glasses. All we had to do was write names on pieces of fabric, tie them around the stem of each glass and stick in a bit of greenery!

  • Keep your guests hydrated! This drink dispenser from Pottery Barn held water infused with cucumber and mint — yum!

  • We offered our guests cheese, crackers, meats, olives and grilled pizzas, which we cut up to share.

  • We used OneHope Sparkling Wine to create a bubbly sangria for those who wanted a little something sweet after their tasting.

  • Guests can purchase wine and 15% of the event sales benefit the cause of your choice!

What a great idea! We were just tossing around the idea of hosting a Friday afternoon wine tasting at work. We’re big supporters of charity efforts so this would be perfect –Can’t wait to tell the team!
