From fresh harvests to crisp weather, it’s easy to see why fall is one of our favorite times to host an outdoor dinner party. Of course, backyards and private patios make a good setting for any get-together, but we just can’t imagine anywhere better suited for a fall gathering than a local family-owned apple orchard! That’s exactly the venue lifestyle blogger Chelsea Rose Moore and her husband Ryan turned to when hosting an intimate dinner to welcome their favorite season. Full of rustic details, comfort food and the cozy atmosphere we all associate with fall, this dinner party is guaranteed to get you dreaming about how to best entertain your loved ones this autumn.

“We partnered with a local family-owned orchard and got to work planning an intimate dinner for friends. Wanting the evening to be filled with whimsy, we carried a wooden table to the middle of the orchard and dined between rows of apple trees.”
“We strung globe lights, lit white candles and decorated with beautiful arrangements from a local florist. We sprinkled yellow leaves and pine cones over the table, and used leftover cloth from our autumn wedding as a table runner.”
“For beverages, we filled Mason jars with apple cider and cinnamon sticks.”
“Each of our guests brought a fall dish—from mushroom risotto to hearty cornbread to rosemary-scented plum cake—and our meal was filled with the flavors of the season.”
“Our wooden cutlery was from VerTerra—one of my favorite companies, as it espouses both style and eco-friendliness.”
“As the light in the sky dimmed and the candles glowed brighter, we laughed and shared memories and moved our chairs closer to stay warm while the evening grew crisp. Together we welcomed the season that carries the taste of pumpkin spice and the smell of crackling fires.”
