What was the inspiration when designing your daughter’s nursery?
Although I wanted my daughter’s room to feel like a nursery, I also wanted the space to be connected to the rest of my home where each room flows into the next. My signature style is very much what I live in—a blend of organic and refined with a touch of sophistication in a neutral color palette. For Ava’s room I started with the wallpaper—it is a beautiful graphic print of silver elephants on a white background. Although the elephants are very much a children’s theme, the metallic and modern graphic balances that. I also incorporated pieces that I knew we could take into the toddler phase as well as pieces that I would readily use in rooms elsewhere in the home.
Can you share the details on where the (lovely, non-plastic, sleek) activity center that Ava is standing in is from? It’s like the holy grail of play stations.
It’s the Bobbin Triple Play Centre by Three Pears! This one was customized by Anna herself, and is now available as a limited edition exclusively at ella+elliot http://www.ellaandelliot.com/-Bobbin-Triple-Play-Centre-Anna-Dhillon-P4594.aspx
Oh my gosh I can’t get over that wallpaper!! Just a stunning room! xo
Thank you 204park!
Hi Ashley that is a piece that I designed in collaboration with three pears. Contact me for pricing, mavailability, etc. It is a three in one activity Center that grows with children and eventually becomes a table. Contact info on my website http://www.annadhillondesign.com. Glad you like it!
I’m sorry but this just seems too sterile and cold for a child’s room. It reminds me more of a hospital than a homey loving place. It’s pretty but I don’t see anything loving in it. Sorry.
Beautiful nursery, Anna. It’s both sophisticated and fun, with a great mix of high and low. We were so pleased to see so many ella+elliot products in one place! Nicely done.
