Everyday 5: Erin Hiemstra of Apartment 34

Founder and CEO of Apartment 34 (one of our favorite lifestyle blogs), Erin Hiemstra continually impresses us with thoughtfully crafted posts, photos, and pretty style tidbits. When you admire someone’s taste as much as we do Erin’s, it’s only natural to want the inside scoop on her beauty regimen. Thankfully, Erin was happy to share the personal favorites she incorporates into her daily routine!
1. True Nature Botanicals Pacific Night Serum with Retinol (formerly by Marie Veronique Organics): I’m looking to transition to organic beauty products wherever possible, and this Bay Area-made line is fantastic. I’ve tried a zillion eye creams but this eye serum is my fave.
2. Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray: I’ve fully embraced washing my hair less often, and while I love dry shampoo, I’ve never given up my allegiance to this texturizing spray. A little goes a long way—it gives you that perfectly tousled bed-head look.
3. Tatcha Radiant: Deep Brightening Serum: To combat signs of fatigue (and age!) that are creeping up on me, I apply this brightening serum after my moisturizer. It just gives my skin a nice glow.
4. Biologique Recherche Cleansing Milk + P50 Lotion: I struggled with acne well into my 20s. Then I started getting facials that featured a French skincare technique and Biologique Recherche products. My skin completely changed. Now I swear by it. It’s gentle but definitely leaves my skin feeling clean. And the fact that I’ve heard that everyone from the Olsen twins to Jenna Lyons also uses the line confirms that I made a good choice!
5. Marie Veronique Body Oil: I’ve officially shunned lotions for body oil. (Our skin is our largest organ, so why spread chemicals all over it!?) I love how the body oil gives my legs a nice sheen—plus, the moisturizing effects last all day!
