We’re continuing our holiday entertaining series today with some helpful tips from Julie Blanner of Coordinately Yours. Julie’s blog is full of fun DIYs and recipes that aren’t intimidating—they’re easy enough for anyone to conquer! (See more holiday entertaining tips from Style Me Pretty, Meyers Styles and Fashionable Hostess.)
1. Create your own centerpiece using items found in and around your home. You can create a variety of different looks in just five minutes. Even cheese and grapes become a centerpiece when added to a cake pedestal!
2. Choose make-ahead dishes that you can simply pop in the oven before mealtime, plus appetizers that you can make the night before (or in five minutes or less!). You’ll have more time to relax and enjoy your guests without compromising the meal! Bite-sized portions and signature cocktails (like the ones featured in this crostini bar) are also great for easy entertaining!
3. Develop your own signature cocktail, like my Prosecco Sangria, to serve guests in addition to beer and wine. This makes putting your bar together a very easy task. Your friends will surely remember your cocktail recipe—you can even send them home with a copy!
