We don’t touch on pregnancy or motherhood too much here on Glitter Guide—but now that Caitlin is expecting her first baby and Taylor’s little girl has already turned one, we thought it’d be fitting to share a few of our pregnancy essentials. Discovering that you’re expecting is equal parts exciting and overwhelming, but there are lots of resources out there to help you navigate this new world and we hope that we can help. We’re spilling some of the best baby books, belly oils and stylish basics we’ve encountered—take a peek![/tps_header]
SLEEPING
Sleeping is no joke when you’re pregnant! While your body wants to rest more than ever, it can become increasingly difficult and uncomfortable to catch an adequate amount of ZZZ’s. Here are a few things that have helped us to get a good night’s sleep.
Body pillow: We both love Bump Nest‘s comfort, quality and design. The covers are machine washable.
Chamomile tea: Since wine is out of the question, a comforting cup of chamomile tea puts us in a relaxed, ready-for-bed state after a long day. (Check with your doctor to make sure tea is O.K. for your own pregnancy.)
Comfortable nightgowns & shirts: Loose and soft sleepwear is key during pregnancy. Pick a breathable material that will last at least through the end of your pregnancy (when you’re likely to get warm easily!). This one from J.Crew is incredibly comfy, and so is this option from Target.
Aromatherapy: If you suffer from morning sickness, a few spritzes of Earth Mama Angel Baby Happy Mama Spray aromatherapy spray will likely ease your symptoms! Because of increased blood flow, headaches are common during pregnancy. Our go-to reliever, Advil, is a no-no while pregnant—but Badger Headache Soother really helps. Apply to temples before a short nap or rest.

Can you tell me where the photos are from in the nursery picture? Thanks!
Too bad you didn’t include getting your vaccines. Probably nothing is more essential than that.
I love BKR! I always have a bottle in my office, would love to have that pastel pink one for home or on the go!
I love my Bkr bottle, it’s practically glued to my hand most days. What a great list! I loved the “the Glow”
