We all know that the amount of sleep we get determines daily if we’ll be efficient or exhausted from dawn to dusk. In collaboration with the National Sleep Foundation (NSF), our editorial director, Caitlin, embarked on a challenge to get a better night’s sleep. She followed several tips provided by NSF and found herself waking up feeling more rested than ever before! Whether it’s a simple step before bed (such as shutting down electronics) or a more involved investment (like buying a high-quality mattress), we recommend making proactive lifestyle changes that will lead you to a more satisfying shut-eye. Read on for Caitlin’s top seven sleep tips and check out more about her #GoodNights Bedroom Challenge over on Sleep.org !

Establish a sleep routine.
Pick a consistent bed and wake time for every day of the week, including weekends! This will help regulate your body’s internal clock, which will make falling (and staying) asleep easier.
