We invited Look Linger Love creative and blogger Chassity Evans into the spotlight today to share her perspective on this season’s burgeoning, must-know artists. Read on for her picks, plus our reactions to all 12 artists’ collections!
“If you follow my Instagram, then you know that my vibe at home is as important to me as what I’m wearing. I’d rather have a blank white wall (admittedly, I have a thing for them!) than hang a piece of art that I didn’t absolutely love. Because, as they say, art speaks—and it’s important that it says exactly what you want it to. Building an art collection that truly represents you can be easy if you know where to look, so I’ve rounded up a dozen artists that you may not have heard of yet (keeping in mind that you’re likely already familiar with the likes of Kate Long Stevenson, Sally King Benedict, Lulie Wallace and Teil Duncan). If you could assume the role of a gallery exhibitionist, who would be your top pick?”
We love the abstract works of New York City artist Mary Nelson Sinclair—we could get lost in all of that saturated color! The active brushstrokes seal the deal, firmly placing Sinclair at the top of our list.
