We couldn’t be more thrilled to officially announce and launch a brand new, year-long partnership with Skinnygirl® Cocktails! We’ve been long-time fans of the brand’s classic margarita mix—it’s our go-to whenever we crave a lighter alternative to the typical sugar-laden cocktail—and we recently had the opportunity to discover the full line of Skinnygirl® Cocktails up close and personal thanks to a weekend spent with the brand at their NYC Influencer Summit.
We stayed at the chic James Hotel (right in Soho!), and kicked off the weekend with a wine tasting starring the full lineup of Skinnygirl® Cocktails wines—our top pick was the rosé! Although the medley of decadent flavors topped the memories that evening, one other main takeaway was the opportunity to learn more about the process—how the wines are designed to be “skinny,” yet finished with irresistible flavor. As we learned, “being good” really is about living a good life. We left asking: how are we being good to ourselves, and what can we do to celebrate even more?
The next day, Summit attendees met up for a cozy breakfast overlooking Soho, an event that was accented by the team offering more of the ‘skinny’ behind the brand. In the end, the real focus of Skinnygirl® Cocktails is on the everyday occasion. It’s not just about toasting to an occasional girls’ night out—it’s about enjoying a glass of wine after putting the kids to bed, or a celebratory margarita after a long work week. Ultimately, we learned that Skinnygirl® Cocktails isn’t a trade-off or a diet—you can have it all without compromise.
Next on the weekend’s agenda, Team Skinnygirl® Cocktails treated its guests to a cooking class that incorporated the brand’s wines and vodkas, while in the process teaching the art of a well-planned and executed meal. Vodka sauce and pasta was a favorite! We also made ravioli with homemade sauces, kale salad and flourless chocolate cake—delicious!
Our afternoon was spent relaxing and getting ready for a special cocktail party that night with an extra special guest—Bethenny Frankel, herself! Bethenny was incredibly nice and shared with us her three favorite cocktails, as well as the story behind how she turned margarita recipe into a multi-million dollar brand. As always, she had everyone laughing with her legendary wit and charm (who else can’t wait for the new season of Real Housewives to kick off?!)
To close our weekend, we all ventured out into the city to dine on southern food and to sip on Skinnygirl® Cocktails wines at Hundred Acres. It was a weekend full of new friends, great food and—of course—a myriad of new favorite wines!
