Some of the very best creative ventures often result from an organic blending of instinct and talent—and for blogger and designer Sarah Vickers, this couldn’t be more true. She and her fiancé Kiel have built their American-made clothing and accessories brand (as well as Sarah’s blog, “Classy Girls Wear Pearls“) from the ground up out of a desire to hone their creative visions. Sarah’s preppy-meets-modernist style is something that we (and 230K+ others!) have come to adore on Instagram. Today, Sarah gives us a tour of her chic, layered and collected office—a space that acts as a source of daily inspiration for this style-savvy, fashion-forward Glitter Girl. We dare you to try choosing just one favorite detail!

You wear so many hats but seem to balance everything with style and grace. Tell us about your background and your business!
I work closely (literally next to, as you can see from our desks) with my fiancé Kiel on our American-made clothing and accessories brand, Kiel James Patrick, and blog, “Classy Girls Wear Pearls.” It is actually sort of funny that those two entities in my life exist, as one of them was somewhat accidental. “Classy Girls Wear Pearls” was originally a side project to showcase my daily outfits as well as our brand’s latest products and marketing shoots. We never anticipated that it would become a second job and source of income.
During the week, Kiel and I are at the factory, managing our team of 20 employees. A typical day can include sourcing production for new products, designing new products, editing pictures, placing inventory orders, answering emails, working with sales reps, planning and executing marketing strategies and organizing photoshoots for the blog and company collaborations. As our company grows, we have to be ready to adjust and adapt to change. Kiel and I not only work well as a team, but we also have a great team, which makes everything possible.
