A Fun Way To Celebrate Finale Season

We think everyone probably agrees on the fact that spring is a nostalgic time. Plus, whether we’re wandering our favorite gardens, tossing hamburgers and hot dogs on the grill or simply indulging our inner child by chasing lightning bugs, this season is always a welcome reprieve from the chilly winter months. Another spring-specific activity worth enjoying? Playing catch-up with our favorite TV series! Gathering around the television (or computer screen) with friends and family is a favorite pastime around the world—and for good reason! It’s an excuse to escape the everyday and to laugh (or cry!) along with our favorite small-screen characters.

To put us all in the right frame of mind as we head toward finale season, our Editorial Director Caitlin threw an at-home viewing party complete with cocktails, popcorn and Hulu. We especially can’t get enough of “Revenge,” “Saturday Night Live” and “The Voice” this year—and since we doubt we’re the only ones, Caitlin is offering tons of inspiration, recipes and party-planning tips to help you make the most of your TV moments. If you’ve already caught up with our top three favorite titles, try tapping into Hulu’s wide range of genres, from classic shows of yesteryear to new episodes that aired only two weeks ago! With Hulu, you can catch the finale (plus binge-watch seasons gone by) at your convenience.

This post is brought to you by Hulu. Don’t be left out of the conversation! Be sure to catch up on the latest episodes of Revenge, Saturday Night Live and The Voice on Hulu before the season finales air on May 10, 16 and 19.

Caitlin gave her Hulu viewing party a classic spring theme: colorful accents, edible flower cookies, a popcorn bar and a floral cocktail!

This spring drink recipe couldn’t be easier. Pour yourself a glass of your favorite rosé. Add a few dashes of bitters and 1/2 ounce of elderflower liqueur. Garnish with an orange slice and edible flowers.

As we sipped on this sweet drink while watching “Revenge,” we couldn’t help but think that Victoria Grayson would want to serve this recipe at one of her parties!

Popcorn is an obvious essential for a viewing party—not to mention, it’s the perfect playful ammunition for the next made-for-TV spat between Blake Shelton and Adam Levine on “The Voice“! Make it easy for your guests to grab individual bags of popcorn and then add their desired flavors. We put out a few different toppings: rosemary with sea salt, salt with pepper, and lavender sugar.

Dress up store-bought cookies with edible flowers!* Make a quick and easy frosting by mixing powdered sugar with a little bit of milk until you get a thick consistency. Place a drop of frosting on each cookie and attach an edible flower—then log into Hulu, press ‘play’ and chow down!

*Be sure to purchase edible flowers from a credible retailer, as many flowers are not edible, and poisonous if eaten!
