Blakely Little is one lucky artist. In addition to being blessed with a beautiful talent for painting, Blakely has the privilege of calling Charleston, South Carolina home. She is surrounded by inspiration everywhere she turns, which is evident in her extensive portfolio of colorful works. Today, Blakely is sharing the story behind her rise from college grad to her career as a painter, plus more on mentorship and her beloved coastal locale.

Have you always been a creative type? Think back to the first piece of art you created—how have you grown since then?
I have always been a creative type—always building, crafting or painting something! I used to try so hard to make paintings look very realistic or like a photo, but have since embraced the freedom to use the colors, shapes and style that I am passionate about.
