Every year, Dec. 1 rolls around and I realize that the time to plan a holiday party has practically run out on me. I have the best intentions, but being a mom and a business owner means that life gets overwhelming in the blink of an eye. I love hosting, but after I’ve put all my energy into getting my house clean and the table set, I’m ready to relax with the rest of the guests. So when I heard about Kitchit, I knew it would be the perfect solution to my problem.
I really wanted to have a night where the other ladies and moms in my life could have a chance to feel celebrated and special. I’m so grateful that Michelle Lywood created such a stunning floral garland for our table. I decorated with my mom’s china because—let’s be honest—I hardly ever enjoy the excuse to throw a dinner party, and I don’t love the idea of plates I can only use once a year. So pink and flowery for a holiday party it is!
I actually love the way everything turned out. The greenery and foliage that Michelle used to accent the florals really gave it a holiday feel. And I used some extra glass-ball ornaments that all the ladies could take home as special reminders to “treat yo self” every year.
I loved being able to sit around the table and enjoy this night with my favorite ladies. I think we will make it a new Christmas tradition.
Our meal with Kitchit was so lovely! Our chef, Heather, made the most amazing avocado toasts, gnocchi, stuffed chicken and pumpkin pie. I loved being able to sit around the table and enjoy this night with my favorite ladies. I think we will make it a new Christmas tradition.
