5 Things We’re Loving

5 Things

In the spirit of making changes for a new year, after almost five years of our popular “5 Things To Try This Weekend” series, we’ve decided to make a few tweaks. We’ll be sharing things we loved on (and off) line, ideas for a fun weekend and other cultural and current events we hope will inspire you. As always, we love to see our readers participate, so don’t forget to share your favorite things from this past week with the hashtag #GG5things and by tagging @glitterguide on Twitter and Instagram.

“New Girl” Is Back: After almost a year’s hiatus, we’re so happy to have one of our favorite comedies back on TV. It made the post-holiday first-week-back blues more bearable with lots of laughs!

How Do You Mood Board?: For us, starting the new year means preparing an editorial calendar full of creative new ideas to inspire you throughout 2016. We usually start with a mood board—sometimes on Pinterest, other times we go old school and rip pages of magazines. We often get lost on Tumblr. How do you stay inspired?

Our Friends Got Makeovers!: We are so excited about Camille Styles’s “Wellness Makeover” and love the new chic, editorial look of Erin’s new site, Apartment 34. Spend time this weekend catching up!

Have You Heard The “Hamilton” Soundtrack?: From being number one on the hip-hop charts to having almost every celebrity come and see the show, it’s no secret this hip-hop musical about Alexander Hamilton has taken over the country. Being the hottest ticket on Broadway right now, the next best thing is playing the soundtrack on Spotify and eagerly awaiting when we can finally see this revolutionary show.

Don’t Forget To Watch The Golden Globes!: Here are some fun recipe ideas: White Chocolate Confetti Popcorn, Sugar-Coated Popcorn, Truffled Parmesan Popcorn.

  • This is so boring compared to 5 things to try :( I don’t need reminders for what TV shows or award ceremonies are on soon, that’s what the rest of the internet is for.
