Annie Lawless—the La Jolla, Calif.-based creator of BLAWNDE.com—is a shoo-in for our running Beauty Bag Spill series. Why? Well, all you have to do is catch one glimpse of the bodacious and bubbly blonde on her site and social feeds to see that she has perfected her beauty routine to a T. Yet, this creative blogger also values health as part of her routine, so you can bet that her product lineup is a responsible one, too. Scroll on to see what Annie keeps tucked away in her everyday beauty bag!
NARS Mini Radiant Creamy Concealer ($12): I’m a big sucker for minis, and I was beyond thrilled when NARS released mini versions of its concealers because this is literally the only product I will use to cover my dark circles. It is an amazingly light and creamy formula for how high-coverage it is, and it stays in place all day.
Sephora Luxe Combo Travel Brush ($15): I have long hair, which can go from flowy to stringy real quick throughout the day. I run this through my hair when I feel the need to refresh my hair and add some fluff. The boar bristles are gentle on my bleached strands, but they really smooth out the kinks and tangles.
Bobbi Brown Retouching Face Pencil ($32): This is a really genius product and I am forever indebted to Bobbi Brown for creating it. It’s a correcting pencil that lightens shadows, covers dark spots and neutralizes redness. I throw this on before concealer when I need a touch up and I find that it really brightens up my entire face, and makes me need much less concealer.
YSL Touche Éclat Blur Perfector ($55): When I first got this, I was like, “What the hell am I supposed to do with this?” But now I won’t go without it. It’s a blurring balm that transforms to a powder upon application and it will cut shine like nothing else. I have the greasiest T-zone (cute, I know), and when I used to blot with pressed powder throughout the day, it would cake up and look gross. Now, I use this instead, and it blurs my pores, mattifies my oil slick and makes my skin look perfect even though it’s definitely not.
xo Victoria Eau de Parfum Rollerball ($18): I am a fragrance fanatic and love to smell great all day. This is just such a happy scent of floral, apple and ivy in the prettiest little package. I always get compliments when I wear this fragrance.
Revlon ColorStay Eyeliner ($8.99): I love this pencil for a weird reason: It’s more dry than creamy. Most people look for creamy pencils but the fact that this is drier and more solid means it doesn’t move around at all. Once it’s on, it’s not going anywhere and I love that my eyeliner looks the same when I get home as it did when I left 10 hours earlier.
Fresh Lotus Youth Preserve Face Cream With Super 7 Complex ($45): This is my favorite moisturizer while on the go because it’s lightweight, but super hydrating at the same time. My favorite way to use this is actually to pat it on the tops of my cheekbones with my fingers when I need a little glow and my makeup becomes dull throughout the day. This gives a dewy, fresh look to the skin.
Deborah Lippmann Gel Lab Pro Nail Polish ($20): I keep polish with me so I can touch up on the fly if I get a chip. This one is my favorite because it gives nails that glossy gel look, and the rounded brush helps achieve a precise application very easily.
Chanel Rouge Coco Stylo Complete Care Lipshine ($37): This product was designed to have the color play off of a lipstick with the shine of a lip gloss and the feel of a balm. I have never found anything else like it and the colors are so perfect for spring. It’s a twist up, which is great for convenience.
Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment ($24): I absolutely love this product because it prevents any gross lip flakiness or dryness so my lipstick can glide. It has oils blended with sugar and the most amazing smell in the world—I almost want to eat the stick when I use it.
