6 Ways To Combat Aging Skin

Though we range in age here at Glitter Guide, pretty much everyone on our team has some concern about aging skin. Whether we are in our 20s living a more active lifestyle in bustling New York City, or adjusting to life as a new mom, we all try to do what we can to prevent wrinkles.

With a plethora of products on the market claiming to minimize fine lines, combat aging and more, it’s easy to get overwhelmed by the options. So, today we’re sharing six solutions to combat aging skin, all of which are a cinch to work into your daily routine!

1. Hydrate and your skin will thank you.

Stay hydrated, but be careful about sipping through straws! As this interview from Allure states, using those muscles around your mouth can increase fine lines in that area, so forgo the straw and drink your H20 out of a glass instead.

2. Wear SPF every day.

Even if you don’t think you’ll “be in the sun,” your skin is exposed to ultraviolet rays every time you step outside. Avoid sun exposure during peak times, which fall between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.

3. Cover up!

Protect the delicate skin around your eyes with a hat and sunglasses because this part of your face tends to be more prone to wrinkles than other areas. Don’t give your skin an excuse to age prematurely—seek some shade!
