We are finally feeling the summer heat on the East Coast, albeit it’s been a mild summer up until now! As a follow-up to my go-to spring outfits, I thought I’d share a few of my favorite outfits to wear in the summer for work and fun—and all of these pieces fit into my version of a capsule wardrobe!
For summer travel and sightseeing: I swear by easy, breezy dresses, flat sandals and cross-body bags. I’ve worn versions of this outfit for years on summer trips!
Shop the look: French Connection dress // Target sandals // Who What Wear for Target bag
For office meetings: I only have to dress for formal meetings once or twice a month, so I don’t spend too much money on formal attire. Instead, I have a rotation of tops that I pair with white jeans and dress up the look with heels during the summer.
Shop the look: J.Crew top (sold out, but similar) // Nude strappy heels // White jeans
For trips to the farmers’ market, alfresco dining and fun with friends: You can’t beat a classic sundress. I’m partial to white (although that may not be the smartest choice with a 1 year old), but it goes with everything and works well when you’re outside on a hot day.
Shop the look: Sézane dress // Target sandals // French market bag
