Filled top to bottom with luscious flavors and moody, bold colors, we’re taking a cue from Lauryn and keeping summer front and center for as long as we feel like it. There’s nothing better than enjoying a brunch with your girlfriends and an array of chilled rosé at your fingertips—especially when Champagne gummy bears and a table full of tasty goodies are involved! So, I set about to do just that in honor of summer.
My blog, The Skinny Confidential, is all about embracing a whimsical and sassy lifestyle, so it’s no surprise that when hosting a brunch, I decided to focus the event on all of those telltale feminine details. For this particular brunch, I invited several of my closest girlfriends over, threw on some Bossanova (the best!), lit some delicious-smelling candles and gave them each a pink can of rosé and a pixy straw in order to properly raise a toast to the season.
As for the activities (aside from noshing and sipping on delicious treats, of course), we ended up playing Cards Against Humanity and discussing my upcoming bachelorette party—what could be more fun?
Looking for a few quick tips when planning your own brunch? Always set the mood with music, candles and lighting, keep the rosé flowing and don’t forget to have a cheese, cracker and cornichon platter handy. Like I said, there’s really nothing better. Cheers!
