A.M.:

WHAT’S YOUR MORNING BEAUTY ROUTINE?

I have a pretty simple morning beauty routine. I use Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes and then put on face lotion with SPF. After I run, I shower and put on my makeup—tinted moisturizer, blush, concealer under my eyes, eyeliner and mascara. I wear the same exact makeup, whether I’m going to the grocery store or a wedding.

FAVORITE A.M. BEAUTY PRODUCTS?

My favorite daytime moisturizer is Laura Mercier Flawless Skin Mega Moisturizer with SPF 15. I have dry skin and this is really hydrating without being greasy or heavy. For makeup, I love Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer and Secret ConcealerBenefit They’re Real! Mascara and Mac Fluidline Eyeliner (applied with a brush).

WHAT’S THE FIRST WEBSITE YOU LOOK AT IN THE MORNING?

I don’t let myself check email or go online until two hours after I wake up (6:30 to 8:30 a.m. is blocked off on my calendar for reading, prayer, meditation, exercise and breakfast). Once I do get on the computer, I first go to my calendar app, Fantastical, to go over my schedule for the day and make sure I’m focused on the right priorities. If I have time to browse the Internet, I like to go on Pinterest to get inspired. I’m also a fan of Vogue, Man Repeller, Who What Wear and Refinery29.

WHAT’S YOUR MORNING SOUNDTRACK?

I listen to podcasts every morning when I run. It’s usually something related to entrepreneurship that will get me inspired and motivated for the day. I like the podcasts by Jess Lively, Tim Ferriss and Jaime Tardy. Music-wise, it depends on what I’m doing. I like Beach House for background music, Bethel for spiritual music and I have a Top Hits playlist on Spotify with Drake, Beyoncé, Bieber, etc. for working on projects where I need to focus and work fast.

WHAT’S FOR BREAKFAST?

I usually eat breakfast around 7:30 a.m. and will either have an egg over hard with one slice of Niman Ranch Canadian bacon, or coconut chia seed pudding with blueberries, depending on if I’m craving a salty or sweet breakfast. Then at 10 or 11 a.m., I’ll have a smoothie with banana, frozen strawberries, blueberries, unsweetened vanilla soy milk, water and flaxseed powder.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE YOU TO GET READY IN THE MORNING?

It takes me 40 minutes to get ready if I’m washing my hair and 15 minutes if I’m not washing my hair. My hair is naturally curly, and I’ve always had the same routine of blowdrying and either straightening or waving it, which takes like 25 minutes. I’ve recently found the ultimate saving grace for my hair not getting super frizzy in humidity—Moroccanoil (just in the ends). I wish I had known about it the last 30 years of my life!

P.M.:

WHAT’S YOUR NIGHTLY ROUTINE BEFORE BED?

I wash my face, play with my cat (he’s a Maine Coon named Moose), hop into bed and spend like 20 minutes either doing this Spanish language app called Duolingo, browse Pinterest or read a magazine. My husband and I have been trying to shut off social media before bed so that we can do something restful that we enjoy and that prepares us for sleep. It’s not easy though!

WHAT TV SHOWS, BOOKS, PODCASTS AND/OR MAGAZINES ARE YOU INTO?

I get an email from The New York Times every evening, which is a helpful recap of the major world events. We have subscriptions to Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Inc. Magazine and Entrepreneur. I like watching “Last Week Tonight,” “Homeland” and “The Bachelorette.”

WHAT’S YOUR EVENING BEAUTY ROUTINE?

I’m pretty unmotivated at night, so I keep my routine simple so that I actually do it. I use a makeup remover towelette and put on night cream. And brush my teeth!

FAVORITE P.M. BEAUTY PRODUCTS?

I love Origins. I’ve found that the Plantscription Powerful Lifting Cream works well. My skin always feels younger and more hydrated in the morning.

FAVORITE BEDTIME SNACK?

Dark chocolate and red wine. Or when I’m being good, there are these coconut-covered fig things from Whole Foods that are like candy—and I still drink wine.

WHAT’S THE LAST THING YOU DO BEFORE YOU FALL ASLEEP?

Kiss my husband goodnight! Oh, and set the alarm for 6:30 a.m. so I can start again!
