The first signs of the holiday season always have us tightening the purse strings a little bit when it comes to “personal” spending. We start saving and putting aside money for gifts for our loved ones, for office parties and hostess gifts. In truth, there’s nothing that gives us more pleasure than to give presents that the people in our life love. To see the love, happiness, gratitude and smile on their faces give us ‘all the feels.’ That being said, there’s no reason to neglect yourself. We’re big advocates of self-care and treating ourselves, and with the holidays being the most stressful time of the year, it’s important to take care of your happiness, as well. Sometimes that might be a large Starbucks holiday coffee, a bubble bath or a much-needed yoga class, and sometimes that may be indulging into a little retail therapy. This season, we teamed up with Gap Factory to share how you can treat yourself to some cute and cozy clothes that fit right in with your stylish wardrobe, without shelling out all the cash! We love how the classic pieces blend seamlessly in with even the trendiest of outfits, and today, we are showing you how easy it is. It’s time to show yourself some love!
Look One: There’s no better time to sport your plaid pieces than the holiday season and you won’t believe that we scored this tartan blouse for $22 at Gap Factory! We absolutely love the soft and comfortable feel of the fabric and how it drapes on the body. We decided to pair it with some fringed denim, capped-toe pumps and a velvet jacket for a fun and festive look! Unfortunately, this top is currently sold out (we know a good find when we see one). Snag this one for a similar look or scoop up this velvet top for another on-trend outfit.
Look Two: There’s no question that a comfortable turtleneck is a total wardrobe staple this season and this striped version is the ultimate classic piece to have. We loved how comfortable the fabric is and the details on the sleeve. Obviously, there are so many ways to wear this piece, but we decided to go for a preppy and polished look. We paired the turtleneck with a camel blazer, dark skinny jeans, loafers and a structured purse. For an extra styling detail, we added a vintage scarf to the bag, which is one of our favorite ways to add a little something more to an outfit.
Look Three: Another winter staple that we can’t get enough of is the sweater dress! We picked up this marled v-neck sweater dress for just under $30. For a day of errands, we went for a sportier look by pairing it with some white sneakers, a black scarf and a cute and colorful striped Gap Factory beanie (check out more cold-weather accessories we are loving here). While this look is fairly casual, it can easily be dressed up with a pair of tights and heeled booties. Add a statement necklace or earrings and a red lip for a chic and festive outfit!
